State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) recently released a news release, which made a comprehensive arrangement for the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of things. According to the arrangement, by 2021, the State Grid plans to initially build the ubiquitous power Internet of things, basically realize business collaboration and data connectivity, initially realize unified IOT management, and support the development of power grid business and emerging business.
Ubiquitous power Internet of things (IOT) is a kind of intelligent service system which focuses on all aspects of the power system, makes full use of modern information technology and advanced communication technology such as mobile Internet and artificial intelligence, realizes the interconnection of everything in all aspects of the power system, human-computer interaction, and has the characteristics of comprehensive state perception, efficient information processing and flexible application. It includes four layers: perception layer, network layer, platform layer and application layer Layer structure.
With the increasing proportion of new energy grid access and the deepening of power reform, the traditional power grid and power enterprises are facing greater external competitive pressure. At the same time, traditional equipment is difficult to match the volatility of new energy, and the lack of interaction with the external environment makes it difficult for enterprises to meet more new demands of users. The integration of smart grid and ubiquitous power Internet of things is an indispensable link in the construction of energy Internet. At present, China's smart grid has developed for more than 10 years. It is urgent to focus on the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of things, and the State Grid will also undertake this task.
As an intelligent service system that realizes the interconnection of everything, human-computer interaction, and comprehensive state perception in all aspects of the power system, the ubiquitous power Internet of things is promoted by the State Grid level, which is expected to accelerate the business expansion of relevant enterprises. Ubiquitous power Internet of things involves five levels: terminal information collector (sensor, RFID, etc.), edge computing, communication network, cloud platform and artificial intelligence. With the acceleration of Pan investment in the power Internet of things, enterprises in the relevant industry chain will continue to benefit.
